yAxis - Brand Film
Animation & Direction
I first became aware of yAxis after winning an NFT design competition for DontBuyMeme that happened to partially get paid out in Yax tokens. From there I delved into the yAxis ecosphere and discovered and an exceptional project with an incredibly enthusiastic community.
YAxis is a decentralised finance project running on Ethereum that builds upon and extends existing smart contract technologies in the space but has an added emphasis on user experience.
The creative was focused around "Era One", the first of four eras. A Medieval time period first conceptualised on the yAxis blog, demonstrating the early development and longevity of the protocol.
Building the film entirely in Unreal Engine with Cinema4D. Music and sound design by Robin Schlochtermeier.

The additional loop to the left was created in response to the blog post "Champions Table Design Contest". Which aims to give out long-term stakers a celebratory NFT, and additional Y-Axis tokens for surviving the 2021 crypto-meltdown.
